Speaking of Random, and an Ass Kicking by a 89-year old

Okie Dokie, recently there have been a few random moments in my life. Some are random trends, and some are just plain weird. The first being a trend and the second being a rather odd occurrence. I also plan on talking about the LOTR marathon...after my rant, as well as another rather weird happening.

Ok, this trend I speak of; Taking pictures of yourself in the mirror.

What on earth is up with that? Seriously. You can't just take a picture with the flash beaming down on your arm? You must go to the trouble of holding the camera up in the mirror and pull a stupid pose, that is probably going to end up backwards anyway? Why yould you do something like that? I mean not that I'm dissing people who take photos but in the mirror, really? And sure my sister tried to do it with a non digital camera (then tried to deny it) but is it really considered cool to do something like that? honestly? When did being 'cool' take a turn for the ultimate worst and make an absotlue fool of yourself? Ok, so not the ultimate worst but its like if you don't take atleast one picture of yourself in that fashion, its considered werid. The other thing that really tweeks me about that is that after you're done making a fool of yourself, you feel inclined to put in on whatever social netwoking site your on (I don't mean to diss social networking sites, mostly because I'm on several). WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?!...Some people think I'm a wacko....

The other random thing that happened, was my books for year 11 arrived at the post office. So the post office people, did their job and said that they were there. That might not sound very random, but its random because normally when I order them they end up at school ready to be picked up on the first day of school. The whole day is usually a complete shambles and the teachers end up being really crabby and pissed off but there is something nice about that. Not that the teachers are crabby and pissed off, just that for me it's like a tradition standing in line and talking about the most random things with people. (Last year Kiera asked me a rather disturbing question that probably shouldn't be metioned on the internet.) I like tradition.

I like tradition as much as I like NOT being shut down by my 89 year-old woman. This women happens to be my grandmother. Ok, so the background to this epic event; my grandma normally comes around on Saturdays for 'Family Time' and the Saturday that has just passed my sister and I were talking about having kids. My sister can't wait to have kids, she loves kids. And because she doesn't have her own she loves talking about her 'wifes' kid (the whole wife thing is a long story, but for the record the 'wife' is not gay but is happily married.) I on the other hand don't really want to have kids, but I would love to adopt a kid. Once my grandma caught wind of the litterally said

'OH! Adopting children? What is wrong with you?'

I then told her that it wasn't a big deal and that some kids would be happy to have a different set of parents, but NO we're not allowed to adopt kids in my family. CRAZY! And then when I was talking about it with mum she agreed. WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY FAMILY! Since when was adopting such a bad thing? Not everyone has the luxuary to parents, I'm simply expanding the numbers of people that do have tha luxuary. Yes I get that its a waste because some people really want kids and cant have them and blah blah, but seriously, should the decision for me to have kids be MY decision? Not my 89 year old grandmother who has a series of potentially life threatning issues. That was my rant for the day...well more like 4 days (that's how long I've been working on this particular blog....you think I'm joking...I'm not.)

Well seeing as that was my rant, I'm off to go and do something else...possibly go on youtube or have a shower.
But you didn't need the play-by-play did you?...Didn't think so.
BYE!!

ugh, the mirror thing is called "luvo" and it's taken the asian teen world by STORM. I hate it. A lot. it's stupid and unflattering.

my parents talked to me about not adopting a kid, which i was shocked about. they said that the kid could be messed up and that it's probably better to not screw yourself over coz having a kid is a BIG thing. if you ever adopt, don't go inter-racial. the kids go through identity crisis. seriously.

LUFFF

PS: going through all of the blogs i missed this week. <3
